If I get a seat alloted in 1st round counselling of AIQ & I'm asked to join the college before the result of state counselling is released (because everytime there is a lag of 15-20 days between the two) then what should I do? for I may get better colleges via state couselling.

Hello Punita,

In the first round of NEET counselling, you can exit the All India quota seat you have got if you get a seat in state-quota category. However, once you confirm the seat for the second round of counselling, you cannot leave the seat as well. Therefore, it is advisable to confirm the seats in the first round itself whether you want in AIQ or state-quota.

If by chance, you get AIQ seat and want to wait for state quota seats, you can attend the college in the meanwhile till the first round for state-quota starts.

Also, if you wish to predict the college you have a chance of getting a seat in, you can use the college predictor below: https://medicine.careers360.com/neet-college-predictor?icn=QnA&ici=qna_answer

Good luck and stay safe!
