Hi
In jee mains there's negative marking of 1 marks for each wrong option selected by you for MCQs question whereas there is no negative marking for numerical value questions
And for each correct answer you are awarded 4 marks.
Let us understand this with an example:-
Let us suppose that you answer a total of 40 in JEE Mains.
Out of that 10 answers are wrong and only 30 answers are correct.
Then ,
Marks for correct answers
= number of correct answers * 4
=30*4
=120
Marks deducted for wrong answers
= number of wrong answers * 1
=10*1
=10
Then,
Marks obtained
=Marks for correct answers - Marks deducted for wrong answers
= 120-10
=110.
