No, it is not mandatory to have Sanskrit in 12th or any class to be eligible for BAMS in BHU.

For reference,
BHU eligibility criteria for BAMS is given below:-

To be eligible for BAMS in BHU one needs to pass 12th board examination with physics, chemistry ,biology/biotechnology and English and must have got at least 50  % in aggregate of PCB  i.e Physics, Chemistry and Biology /biotechnology in 12th examination  or  at least 40% in aggregate of PCB if belongs to Sc /stcategory. Also, you need  to be at least 17 years old as on 31st December of the year of applying.
