See best Govt. colleges in any state are its IIT and NIT's so there can be three option either you are home state student other sate and finally you opt for any other govt colleges

Now that decision also depend whether you want a particular branch or any mere core branch will work though

Now if you are home state and any branch student than you can  get into the NIT

But if you deem for branch such as CSe it would be difficut for you.

Now if you are other state and any branch student than you might or may not get into the NIT and branch such as CSe would be rather too far off.

Now in case you opt for other IIIT or GFTI the option with you is more diverse and in your range.

Hello Shreya Sanchan ,
First of all congratulations for clearing JEE Main .If someone is from general Economically Weaker Section (EWS) category and had got 90 percentile in JEE Main then he/she can definitely get admission in a lower NIT in a good branch .
Hope it helps and all the best for your future endeavors .

Hello student,
EWS category is introduced this year only, thus no one has any clear idea about it. But, it largely depends on one's home state. With a rough estimation, EWS is 10% of general category. So, in your home state, if 20,000 was the closing rank for general category under state quota, then approximately 2,000 should be your EWS category rank, so that you remain in the safe zone. However you can go through the following link to know about the cut off's and ranks for the previous years and calculate your chances of selection

Hello, it depends on the number of people apply for the college through that category. You may or may not have chances of getting NITs or IIITs depending upon the cutoff, number of applications and number of vacancies you may have chances of getting admission.
