If a colleges lists a closing rank of 6543 for a specific category in the All India Quota it refers to the category rank within the All India Quota. This means it is the rank of the last candidate admitted to that college from that specific category , within the larger pool of all candidates across India. Its not the All India Rank which would be the overall rank of that candidate among all those who appeared for the exam
