The new 4 year graduation scheme for any degree is just to convert your degree into a Honours, (eg: B.com to B.com Hons). And no, its not compulsory to do a 4 year graduation. You can just go for your Bachelor's degree only. That's totally on you.
Thank You.
Hello,
Yes, you can pursue a 3-year bachelor's degree instead of a 4-year one under the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020. The 4-year degree includes an honors degree with research, while a 3-year degree will still result in an honors degree and can be used for career progression or further postgraduate studies, similar to how it was before the NEP. The option for a 3-year degree is a valid outcome for students who do not wish to pursue the specialized research year.
I hope it will clear your query!!
