Moreover, IRTPMC was established in 1992 and situated in city Erode, State of Tamil Nadu. The college is affiliated by The Tamil Nadu Dr. M.G.R. Medical University, Chennai and approved by Bar Council of India (BCI).

The long standing desire of the Transport Corporation employees to have a Medical College and Hospital to provide specialized medical treatment to people in the area and to the transport employees and their families was fulfilled by the State Government in the year 1986.

The college offers two major course's:

• Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery [MBBS]
• General Nursing and Midwifery [GNM]
