Hi Himanshi

Superstitution entails unfounded beliefs with no scientific base whatsoever. Ayurveda, on the other hand, is a well-established science. Right from body’s anatomy and blood pressure, to nervous systems, it covers every aspect of human well-being in a scientific manner. Ayurveda has been used in India as an alternative system of medicine from times immemorial. Also, it should be remembered that even allopathic drugs take elements of nature to create medicines.

One needs to go through several years of study to become a practitioner of Ayurveda. You may have a look at the curriculum of BAMS (Bachelors in Ayurveda Medicine and Surgery) offered at BHU, IMS, etc. to see for yourself if it involves anything pertaining to superstitious elements.

Besides that, Ayurveda has also been recognized as a subject field of medicine by Indian Government and an entire ministry called Ministry of AYUSH is devoted to its educational and research development in India.

Finally, I would say research on it to get to know more about it. Get to know about varied opinions on it worldwide.

I hope it answers.
