There is no official notification stating that GITAM GAT will be conducted at JEE Main level. Please note that JEE Main is a national level engineering entrance exam, which means candidates across India can appear in the exam if they are eligible and after clearing the exam, they will get admission into NITs, IIITs & GFTIs and some other private colleges, whereas, GITAM GAT is a university level exam conducted by Gandhi Institute of Technology and Management. Candidates who will clear GITAM GAT will get admission to engineering programmes offered by it's Bengaluru, Hyderabad and Visakhapatnam campuses only. 

Because of JEE Main being a national exam, the seats available for admission are many in number and the colleges offering admission are ample. However, in GITAM GAT, the seats are relatively very less and there are only 3 campuses for admission.
