Yes, it is necessary to mention previous NEET attempts in the application. If you mistakenly marked "No," you should correct it during the NEET 2025 correction window (March 9-11, 2025). Log in to the official NEET portal, update your response, review the changes, and submit the corrected form. For assistance, contact the NTA helpline.

No, it is not necessary to explicitly mention the number of times you have appeared in NEET on the application form; however, if you mistakenly answered "No" to the question "Have you ever appeared in the NEET (UG) examination" when you did appear last year, this could potentially cause issues and may require correction through the designated window provided by NTA, the exam conducting body.

No attempt limit:

You can appear for NEET as many times as you want, so there is no need to specify the exact number of attempts on the application form.

Important to be accurate:

It's crucial to provide correct information on the application form to avoid any complications during verification or admission process.

How to rectify a mistake:

If you have mistakenly answered "No" when you should have answered "Yes", check if the application form has a correction window available and update the information accordingly before the deadline.

What to do next:

  • Check the application portal:

Log in to the NEET application portal and see if there is an option to modify your application details.

  • Contact NTA:

If you are unable to correct the mistake online, reach out to the National Testing Agency (NTA) through their official channels for assistance.

  • Be proactive:

Do not ignore this mistake as it could lead to your application being rejected or delayed
