Choosing Electrical Engineering (EE) over Computer Science Engineering (CSE) at PMEC (Parala Maharaja Engineering College, Berhampur, Odisha) depends on your interests, goals, and the college's strengths in each department. Some factor may affect your decision like the Placement are better in CSE department than EE. Faculty and the lab infrastructure of CSE is good and improving with time but of EE established, strong in core. The demand and scope of CSE is High in IT/software industry and EE demands in Core + Govt. jobs potential. If you want to have a career in Govt. jobs then EE may be helpful. IF you want to go for higher studies then M.Tech, MBA, MS, Data Science, AI, etc. can be a option after B.Tech in CSE and GATE, PSU, M.Tech in EE, Power, Control, etc. are the options after B.Tech in EE.

CSE generally has better placement stats, even if the infrastructure is average because tech companies hire in bulk across India.

EE is a good long-term choice if you're focused, disciplined, and okay with working in core sectors or higher studies .
