Hi Aspirant,

JEE is the entrance examination to get into top nits, iiits, gfits and other renowned colleges both in the country as a whole as well as in the state. So if your performance is well in JEE you can study in top renowned NITs or in some really great colleges. However each state conducts its own entrance examinations for engineering and if you do well in that you can get great selection in your top state universities and colleges. So JEE is not the only way to pursue CS AND IT but you can also avail through state entrance examinations like WBJEE,AP EAMCT etc.

Hope it helps!!

Hii,

Jee Joint Entrance Examination is formerly All India Engineering Entrance Examination, is an examination organised by the National Testing Agency in India.

It is the exam which is necessary not only for admission in top IITS and NITS but also in other government college and private colleges accross the county.

However different states are having their own state wise examination for government colleges for the state but they also granted admission on the basis of jee score.

So yes it is necessary for the admission in any college to give jee mains for any branches.

Hello,

It depends on the selection of your college. If you are passionate about pursuing computer science and IT in IITs , NIT's, IIIT's and other Centrally Funded Technical Institutions then cracking  JEE is very essential for you. If you are interested in studying computer science and IT in a state colleges then you need to write that particular state's engineering entrance exams. So finally cracking JEE Main depends on the choice of your college.
