Yes, merit list is important for admission in less medical college, not only government but also private medical colleges. After your choice filling of colleges, for any college the higher marks candidate who preferred a particular college will get the college first. Since when counseling for private college is also being done by MCC the seats in private college is also alloted marks wise.
