It is based on both academic year and final examination marks.  Consistently performing throughout the year gives a good impression of a hard worker and if you get good grades in your final examination then it will make it easier.  However scholarships are linked to income levels, for SC/ST it can be from below Rs 2,50,000 to 4,50,000.

If family income is less that 2.5lakhs, it is easier to apply through the following sites for SC – www.sw.kar.nic.in (http://www.sw.kar.nic.in) and ST – scholarship.gov.in.  If the income is above 2.5lakhs then you need to apply through Directorate of Technical Education ( http://dte.kar.nic.in/ ).  For OBC category one can apply through http://karepass.cgg.gov.in.

I'm an official caste member with my father's income below 2.5 lakhs vth 90% in my 12th grade score did I get scholarship in ms ramaiah university
