No its not mandatory to appear in NATA and JEE main paper 2 to get an admission in IIT.
you have to clear jee advanced.
If you want to get into any IIT/NIT you need to take JEE MAINS (NIT) and for IIT(Architecture Aptitude test). Except all NITS and IITS, if you want to get seat in any architectural college, you need go take NATA test.
