Is online coaching is good method for preparation?
Dear aspirant....!!
Online coaching is great. Once you overcome the resistance to change (which BTW is strong, given that learning as we know it in schools and colleges is usually in classrooms), you will realize that online learning is a convenience that you cannot allow yourself to miss.
The best part of online learning is that it gives you the chance to attend classes by the best teachers. You no longer need to fret that your city or coaching center does not have that amazing prof you had heard about!
In some answers to this question, the respondents have said that with online coaching, you need a lot more sincerity and commitment to learn as compared to offline. I disagree. If you aren't motivated enough, attending a class isn't going to make you more so. :)
If you are motivated enough, online coaching won't hold you back. In fact, you can learn anytime you please, at the pace you want. You can even choose the topic for the day's class based on what you are in the mood to learn.
As to participating in class and getting doubts cleared, we tend to view traditional classrooms through rose-tinted glasses when thinking of these things. A good teacher paces himself to address the slightly-below average student in a class. You are forced to go with this flow whether you understand the concept in the first minute or remain clueless even after the class is over. And a vast majority of students hesitate to ask doubts that seem "silly". With online coaching, you can rewind the class as many times as you like and raise doubts without worrying about how it make you look in front of classmates! This is not to say all classroom learning is bad—just that there are two sides to the same coin!
Online coaching is also priced way lower than classroom coaching.
Of course, not all online coaching is created equal. A good teacher is a good teacher, whether he/she teaches online or in a class! The converse too is true. So, you need to choose the online course carefully. So, read reviews of the course online. Also, go with the courses that allow you to sample a part of the actual course before you buy. Nothing like first-hand experience to help you make up your mind.
Hope your query is solved!
All the best!
