Dear aspirant,

Sncl2 is a lewis acid so it is considered as an electrophile not nucleophile.

Examples of nucleophiles are the halogen anions (I - , Cl- , Br- ), the hydroxide ion (OH - ), the cyanide ion (CN - ), ammonia (NH 3 ), and water .
