B.Tech/B.Arch Admissions OPEN
Hey!
There are many students taking drop year to prepare for the exam and excel in the JEE exam. Selection or placement by a company deals with certain set of criteria. For instance, the companies conduct their own test or tests to shortlist candidates or students and the shortlisted candidates are further interviewed and then selected by the company. Also, grades accumulated by the students in college is also considered. So, it's not that taking one drop year will affect the selection or placement in the regular selection procedure. It can be considered where there are instances wherein suppose two candidates are there, one is to be selected and both of them have done exceptionally well in all the test rounds conducted by the company, they may choose a candidate who has not taken a drop. But, in general, taking one drop year won't affect the basic selection procedure.
