Is there any govt seat in private medical colleges? what is the fee structure?
Abhishek, There are 3 Categories of seats in Private Medical Colleges. The first Category is the Government Quota. This is approximately 30-40% of the seat intake. Admissions to this quota are done through State Counselling and only students who have the State's domicile can participate in this with the exceptions of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh and Karnataka. Here the fees is anywhere upto 8 lakhs. The second Category is the Management quota. Seats are filled through State Counselling and the left over seats are filled through Direct admission. For State Counselling State domicile is important but for Dorect admission, it is not. Here the fee is anywhere upto 40-60lakhs depending on the reputation of the College. The 3rd is the NRI Category applicable for NRI Candidates.
Yes certain states have government seats in private medical colleges. The fees is around 1 lakh 10 thousand.
It depends on the state you are applying.
If you tell me which state you are looking for i can give you more details.
Hope this helps.
