If you are seeking admission to under graduate Engineering course then to get admission in to NIT you must have qualified in JEE Main. There is no age limit to appear for JEE Main hence there is no upper age limit to get admission in to an NIT.

To get admission in to an IIT you must qualify in JEE Advanced, the upper age limit to appear for JEE Advanced is 25 years for general category candidates and five relaxation on upper age limit is given for candidates belonging to SC/ST/PWD category. To appear for JEE Advanced 2022, the candidates should have been born on or after October 1, 1997. However, SC, ST and PwD candidates should have been born on or after October 1, 1992.

The lower age limit to get admission in to Jadavpur University is 17 years as on December 31 in the year of admission. There is no upper age limit.

Specific age for NIT, IIT are that he/dhe must have passed their class 12 exam. Consecutively 3 attempts are allowed for JEE Main examination. A minimum JEE Main qualifying score is needed.
