Hey aspirant ,
National institute of fashion and technology conducts NIFT entrance exam every year selecting more than 3000 students for various degree programs on fashion and designing . More than 20,000 students apply every year for getting admitted to various top colleges under NIFT , the parent institution being in Delhi . Recently there has been an increment in the number of seats for 2019 , creating more frequency for aspirants .
In order to apply for the entrance exam the Candidate has to fulfill certain criteria :

  • The candidate must have completed 12th with passing marks . As per your query No particular percentage is required to apply , passing your senior secondary examination makes you eligible for the same .
  • The candidate mustn't be more than 23 years of age .
  • Relaxation of 5 years for SC/ST candidate
There are other criteria for foregin candidates , if you need them do let me know .

After qualifying NIFT , the candidate becomes eligible for BDes program that includes
- fashion designing
- Leather designing
- accessory design
- knitwear design
- fashion communication .
NIFT entrance exam is a three tier exam system . Starting from creative ability test (CAT) for BDes followed by General ability test (GAT) for BDes and MDes . GAT for BFTech ,MFM, MFTech .

The various institutions under NIFT are :
NIFT Bengaluru
NIFT Mumbai
NIFT Kolkata
NIFT Bhopal
NIFT Bhubaneswar
NIFT Chennai
NIFT Hyderabad
NIFT gadhinagar
NIFT Jodhpur
NIFT Patna
NIFT Kannur
NIFT Srinagar
NIFT Shillong
NIFT Raebareli
NIFT Kangra
One gets on a way to these NIFT 's after qualifying the entrance examinations . From the year 2017 , the increment in the number of seats has been there . And more number of seats in the  year 2019 are expected .

I hope the information has been helpful . For any further information feel free to ask
All the best
Thank you .
