Hey saksham,

DU does not provide any separate relaxation for village students unless they belong to any reserved category. You'll be given relaxation only if you fall under any reserved category as provided by University.

You may check the website of DU for further details regarding all the categories as mentioned by the University this year.

There was buzz going around media that this year du will be giving some relaxation for govt. school's students and village students in ug admissions. So is there any update on that?

Yeah the news was going on but notjing was confirmed and yet no such confirmation has been released by the University of delhi. And no such news can come since the admission procedure is soon going to get over.
