It is better and recommended that you should pursue Agriculture course through ICAR Approved colleges. You will have better opportunities for government jobs then.
However, After completing your graduation, you can apply for other government exams like SSC CGL, bank exams. But these exams can be given after graduation in any course.
You should pursue the course from decent colleges for good opportunities. Also, scope and opportunities depend on the knowledge, skills and capabilities of the candidates.
