All the 3 branches that you have mentioned have their own merits. Let us discuss each branch individually.

IT:

This branch is experiencing a great advancement in the recent times both in India and abroad. It is responsible for a large part of the digital innovation such as internet banking, social media and digital marketing

Furthermore, it is expanding into new areas such as blockchain, cybersecurity, artificial intelligence and internet of things which will only lead to an increase in the employment opportunities.

Some of the top roles from pursuing this branch include:

• Software developer
• Technical Trainer
• Data Administrator
• System Manager

CSE:

This branch leads to career opportunities in the computer science such as web designing, software development and computer systems organization.  Due to the increase in demand for machine learning and artificial intelligence in the recent times, there has been a rise in career opportunities.

Some of the main job profiles from this branch include:

• Web developer
• Software developer
• Computer systems engineer
• UI designer

ECE:

This branch is one of the most sought after branches in India. This branch has its roots both in the private and the government sector. Some public sector companies such as MTNL and BSNL recruit students from this branch very often. This field is a continually growing field and can provide a lot of career opportunities.

Latest trends such as robotics and automation and internet of things have boosted the career opportunities in this area.

All the 3 branches have their own merits and can give you a good future if you put in the hard work. However, from my personal opinion the order of preference I would choose is CSE followed by ECE followed by IT. Keep in mind that this is only my personal preference and it would vary from person to person.
