JEE Main marks for a particular percentile varies with each shift of exam. The percentile of the students depends on the topper's score. The topper's score is equivalent to 100 percentile. However there are some factors, depending on which we can compare the marks with their percentile. For example 95 percentile is in the range of 98 - 107 marks.

Hello aspirant,

The percentile varies each year for the marks that you obtain in JEE Mains. Your percentile will depend upon the following factors:

  • The highest score obtained by the JEE topper
  • The total number of test takers
  • The number of shifts in which the test is taken
  • The number of students with the same score as you

For instance, if a student gets 250 out of 300 in their JEE Mains examination, then the score 250 will be considered as 100 percentile and all other percentiles with scores are calculated accordingly. You rank will also vary for the same score as a result.

Hope this helps.
