Both MBA and MCS are post graduate degrees in good fields. But the major difference in both these courses is that by doing MBA you will get a variety of opportunities. Let us know in detail:

MBA:A Masters in Business Administration (MBA) offers career opportunities across various industries and opens up a wide range of options for you. An MBA degree imparts knowledge in various subjects like Finance, Accounting, Economics, Marketing, and Human Resources Development. It is a manegerial course which enables the student to take up leadership and decision making roles by strengthening their leadership ability, communication, problem-solving ability, strong networking ability etc. It provides wide corporate exposure to the candidate making them industry ready. Due to this the scope of MBA is enhanced. If you do MBA from a prestigious college like IIMs, you get initial salary above Rs.15LPA on average.

MCA: This course is for qualified professionals in the IT field. This is a niche specialisation and opportunities are limited only to the IT industry. It gives you in-dept knowledge about computer science - Mathematics behind Computer Science, concepts in core computers and systems science, non-core computer courses and software development or design. Candidates having an MCA degree may have great employment opportunities in top IT companies and top analytics firms. In general the salary range post MCA is Rs.5 LPA on average

Now it depends on you to choose the field as per your skills and interests. If you are more technology oriented and want o deep dove into computers and have a career in software and IT related fields then you should go for an MCA degree.

On the other hand, if you want to be in leadership and managerial positions (or) looing for administrative roles (or) entrepreneurship then you can opt for an MBA degree.
