HI there,yes it’s possible to get admission in iits without gate,but for that you must require 8.0 or more cpi other than that you have to give written test and will have to face personal interview.

as you not written your particular branch, i m giving some information about my own branch CSE ,in written test there would be require same knowlwdge as in GATE EXAMINATION because course is simillar,so it is better to prepare for GATE
