My cousin's son is a NZ citizen with OCI card. He studied until 10th standard in New Zealand and then moved to India, for 11th and 12th.

Hi Sir

In an Indian competitive exam like JEE/NEET, the state from which the candidate has passed class 12th(Board Exam) is considered as his/her home state. In NITs and Government Medical Colleges certain percentage of seats are reserved in home state quota unlike IITs or IISERs.
