Hello,
As per the last year trends and the amount of seats filled till now, your scope for a seat in government colleges like NITs and IIITs through CSAB is very less. CSAB has been very unpredictable in its nature due to it being the last rounds for getting a preferred college. There are single digit seats left in top NITs and IIITs and thus there won't be a lot of students shifting to upper choices which would be helpful for you. The lower colleges tend to go empty in regular rounds and have closing ranks around even 50k CRL untill the counselling closes. The CSAB second round counselling may give a spike in closing rank but hardly there is case in OBC with a student of 1.43L CRL getting into NIT. It is highly unlikely that closing ranks would drop till 43k. Though you still might get lucky with a decent branch in any lesser known GFTIs, though taking those colleges should be done only after thorough research and is a bit of compromise. Otherwise the chances are very less for any NITs.
Thank You
