My father is a retired CISF officer hand he doesn't hold any gallantry awards so will I be able to apply for ggsipu and jac Delhi's defence quota. I searched for it but somewhere it says yes and somewhere no. An answer will be much appreciated

No, you will not be entitled to the Defence quota in GGSIPU or JAC Delhi admissions if your father was a retired CISF officer without gallantry honour. The Defence quota in GGSIPU and JAC Delhi is primarily for children of Armed Forces (Army, Navy, Air Force) and never para-military forces such as CISF unless they also hold some gallantry awards (Shaurya Chakra, Vir Chakra, etc). Because the CISF is a part of the Ministry of Home Affairs and not Ministry of Defence, a retired CISF officer (not including any gallantry distinctions) will not be recognised as being eligible under Defence quota.
