Hello,

To get admission for undergraduate engineering program offered by any of the NIT''S candidates are not only required to qualify JEE Main exam , but also have to meet the cutoff specified by the respective NIT 's. There are a total of 31 NITs in India and each institute releases its own JEE Main cut off to offer seats in the B.Tech courses . The JEE Main counselling and seat allocation will be done by Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) . Your cut off for a particular course and college will also vary according to your category. You can visit the following site to know about the cut off for the year 2019 at various NIT'S: https://engineering.careers360.com/articles/jee-main-rank-required-for-admission-nits

Hi.

Can you please provide further information such as:

  • What is your domicile?
  • Which NITs will you prefer? Do you have a shortlist?
  • Which branch do you wish to opt for?
  • Do you have any category reservation?

Answering these will help us to give you an accurate statistics based answer, without these the answers will be vague. However, you have a good JEE Rank in which a good NIT will be possible.

BEST OF LUCK

Animesh Singh Ok Cool.
Here are the statistics based on your category and applicable quota. Ranks are based of 2019 Cosing Ranks of CSAB
1) NIT Trichy [branch vs closing rank]
ECE 6414 for GEN-EWS
Mech 15617 for OBC-NCL
No seat allotted to GEN Category, Other State
2) NIT Warangal
Only one seat allotted to GEN-OPEN at 8328 closing rank for Electrical Engineering.
3) NIT Surathkal
ECE 5696 for GEN-OPEN
4) For MNNIT
CSE 4748 for GEN-OPEN Home State Quota
Electrical 11940 for GEN-OPEN Home State Quota
ECE 8338 for GEN-OPEN Home State Quota
It looks like you have good chances in top NITs but CSAB seats are highly volatile and past trends cannot be completely trusted but due to home state quota you have higher chances in MNNIT.
BEST OF LUCK!
