Please note that Amity is no more a part of IPU consortium and has its own admission procedure since last year. Given the Delhi Rank is good your son has a slight chance of getting into VIPS but since only 4500 students have applied then it can be assumed that all of the 4500 would be eying for VIPS and USLLS so other options are as follows; 

1. Gitaratan Institution of Business Studies

2. Maharaja Agrasen Institute of Technology and Management Studies

3. Delhi Institute of Metropolitan Studies

There are other Institutes as well but your son will definitely get into one amongst the above mentioned in case VIPS and USLLS is not allotted.

This is the first time when IPU would be admitting students based on CLAT score. Your son has a decent rank and he would surely get into some college in IP University. The top choices in IPU are- USLLS, VIPS and Amity. If a majority of the top Delhi rankers go for better options like NLUs or switch to other courses, he can surely expect a seat in one of these three top colleges of IPU with the 85% state quota policy that they have. The three colleges together have more than 600 total seats for BA LLB, so the possibility is quite good.
