I would say both are good universities. The Ministry of Education, Government of India has released NIRF Ranking 2021. LPU is ranked 62nd on the list of all the government and private universities of the country. University’s Engineering School is ranked 66th, Management School is ranked 37th, Pharmacy School is ranked 23rd, Architecture is ranked 12th, and Law School is ranked 24th amongst all Government and Private Universities in India.

Speaking from personal experience I would suggest that you should go for Chandigarh University because freshly if you are asking about any rankings of engineering then Chandigarh University 61st among the top engineering institutes of the India. Moreover in the year 2021 and 2022 if you talk about the placements but Chandigarh University of its students the highest placement of 36 lacs per annum to one of their engineering students by the top multinational company.

On basis of NIRF ranking of engineering 2021 , Chandigarh University  is better

NIRF rank of Chandigarh university is 61

And that of LPU is 66.

Chandigarh university is better and a growing university. It has very good campus . Well maintained and up to date facilities and infrastructure. Faculty is best trained at their fields. Placement record is very high.
