Yes, AICTE in its handbook for 2021-2022 has done away with physics and chemistry as compulsory subjects and having any three subjects amongst the list of physics, mathematics, chemistry, computer science, biology, informatics practices, biotechnology, electronics, information technology, technical vocational subject, agriculture, engineering graphics, business studies or entrepreneurship keeping in view the objectives of NEP, however the  final decision to whether follow this norm or not rests totally with the university, and the state respectively, AICTE has further asked universities to offer bridge courses to such students in order to fill the learning gap to achieve desired outcome, to know more details regarding this, visit our page at https://news.careers360.com/how-aictes-new-rules-make-btech-course-more-accessible
