Hi,

IN 2018, cutoff marks for JEE Main for SC category was 29-73 marks. This year around 9,65,000 students appeared for JEE Mains. An SC candidate can expect a cutoff percentile above 60 with a score between 31-36.

So, if you are getting 55 marks there are good chances for you to qualify for JEE Advanced. I would recommend you to start preparing for JEE Advanced without wasting time, because if you do not and clear later then you would be at a loss.

Last year cut off for Jee Mains sc category was 29.

Based upon last year cut off you can expect this year cut off to be around 35. Not more than.  If anyone scoring more than 35 marks in sc category will easily be qualified for JEE Advanced.
