the prestigious IITs and the NITs are always to top this list, followed by the sate maintained colleges like MSU, LD etc.

The IITs are mostly on the top but AU,CEG Campus (in which I study) is there at 5th Position in the list of it in which you can apply via Other state Quota.

This is a very easy question. But to be more specific, I'd suggest you look for overall rankings as the BITS are almost as good as IITs and then there is IIIT hyderabad, which is also a class apart despite being a private institute.
