Hi, DU has a quiet distinct selection criterion as it receives application in huge numbers and from candidates belonging to different regions and categories. DU reserves a few seats for students who have indulged in Extracurricular activities ( ECA) and Sports.
Admission in DU through sports quota is done either directly or on the basis of sports trial once you have filled the application form. Candidates get direct admission without appearing for sports trial, if they have represented India in either of the following sports leagues:

• Olympic Games by International Olympic Committee
  
• Asian Games by the Olympic Council of Asia
  
• World championship/ World cup by international sports federation
  
• Asian championships by international sports federation
  
• Commonwealth games by international paralympic committee
  

Candidates who haven't represented India in either if the above sports competitions will have to appear for sports trials in order to secure admission under sports quota.

The application process is simple.

• Visit the DU official website and fill the application form
• Opt for Sports Quota and upload your certificate
• DU gives b40% weightage to sports certificates and 60% weightage to the trials
• The sports trials will include Sport specific fitness, overall playing ability and fundamental skills
• Marks for the trials will be awarded out of 60 and candidates should score at least 30 marks in order to qualify for admission through sports quota.
• Candidates must also be eligible on the basis of age in order to participate bin inter University competitions of DU for next 3 years of their course duration.
• Candidates must not be employed either part time or full time while pursuing UG courses bat DU through sports quota.
• Games or Sports that are played across the colleges and during inter college and inter University competitions at DU will be given preference.
• The Merit list will be prepared be the authorities and displayed on the official website.
