To get a seat in NITs,GFITs or IIITs, one has to clear the JEE Main cutoff as per their category in order be eligible to get admission in these colleges. And after clearing the required cutoff, one has to apply for JoSAA counselling thrugh which admission to NITs,GFITs,IIITs willbe done. Below I have provided 2019 JEE Mains cutoff (percentile) category wise -
Now , since your a general category candidate with only 89.3 percentile in JEE Mains 2019 , you are not eligible to get admission to NITs,GFITs or IIITs on the basis of what rules say. However, better apply for the counselling and see whether you get GFITs or not. You may not get in the first round of JoSAA , but in the later round there can be a chance.
