Once the results are out, students usually find themselves surrounded with several (career related) questions. At this stage one has to take a sound and practical career decision because this will affect the future (life ahead) of the candidate.
Clearing JEE main will make you eligible to take JEE adv the only test through which you can join IIT the institute of dream of each and every engineering aspirant in our country . If you can obtain good AIR in JEE adv you will get seat in any of the 23 IITs and also some other renowned institutes namely IISc , IIST . If however you can't obtain seat in any IIT through JEE adv , you can still join NIT/IIIT/GFTI on the basis of your score in JEE main . There are some other very good engineering institutes which also offer admission on the basis of AIR or score of JEE main and the institutes are :

Some state level institutes also allow admission through JEE main besides their own entrance tests .

Since you have only 50% marks in class 12 there for you are left with only very few limited college not very premier Institute such as IIT and NIT is there for you should focus on other entrance exams which does not give its two class 12th percentage and get admission into colleges they offer for better opportunities
