The Massachusetts Institute of Technology is among the top institutes in America, so it has some expectations from its applicants as well:

  • Your grades should be exceptionally well throughout your academic years, especially in class 11 and 12. Aim to top in every exam (even tests). This will boost your confidence as well.
  • The university has an acceptance rate of less than 5%, so your application also has to be extremely compelling, including the extracurricular activities.
  • Start preparing for JEE (mains and advance). Your aim should be to be in the merit of at least the top 20 students.
  • Practice every day and test your knowledge regularly (daily)
  • You will have to take the SATs or ACTs with a very good score. Do your research, and start on your practice papers.
  • Participate in national level exams like olympiads etc
  • You need letters of recommendation from your teachers in school, so maintain a good relation.
