As you mentioned your gate rank is 16000 for civil engineering...

As per previous cut -off of gate for civil engineering in AU are:-

for SC :-

15000-10000 ( even if you qualify gate exam..then it is enough for sometime)

For BCS :-

Around 2000 to 8000

For OCS :-

Around 2- 6000.

As with your rank may you will not able to get AU for civil engineering .....

But you may try in these colleges for civil engineering with your rank:-

• GITAM university
• Gayatri Vidya Parishad college of engineering
• Aditiya college of engineering and technology 
• Annamacharya institute of technology and science .
