AP EAMCET 2018 Eligibility CriteriaAP EAMCET is a state level Entrance Examination which is conducted by Jawaharlal Nehru University, Kakinada on the behalf of Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education (APSCHE). Through clearing this test, a candidate may take admission in the offered Undergraduate courses in the university like:- (i) Engineering,Bio-Technology,B.Tech (Dairy Technology), B.Tech (Agr.Engg), B.Tech(Food Science and Technology) (ii) B.Sc(Ag)/ B.Sc.(Hort)/ B.V.Sc & A.H/B.F.Sc (iii) B.Pharmacy, Pharm.D. Only candidates possessing the requisite qualifications are allowed to participate in the Online based test.

It is mandatory to go through the eligibility criteria in the AP EAMCET 2018 prospectus. We have notted down the eligibility criteria for our readers. Candidates satisfying the following requirements shall be eligible to appear for AP EAMCET-2018.

Eligibility Criteria for AP EAMCET 2018

Candidates will be measured upon certain standards that they must satisfy. It may include having them found eligible on the basis of their educational qualifications, nationality, age factor et. let us check out the complete criteria through this article:-

(i) Nationality-candidate must be an Indian National or OCI (Overseas Citizen of India) Card Holder or PIO (Persons of Indian Origin)

(ii) Domicile Requirement-candidate must belong to Andhra Pradesh/ Telangana

(iii)For Engineering,B.Tech. (Dairy) and B.Tech. (Ag. Engineering)

Candidates should have passed or appeared for the final year of Intermediate Examination (10+2 pattern) with Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry as optionals or related vocational courses in the fields of Engineering and Technology, conducted by the Board of Intermediate Education, Andhra Pradesh / Telangana, along with bridge course or courses conducted by it for candidates enrolled from academic year 2000 onwards, or any other examination recognized as equivalent thereto by the Board of Intermediate Education, Andhra Pradesh / Telangana.OR

Candidates should have passed or appeared at the final year of the Diploma examination in Engineering conducted by the State Board of Technical Education and Training, Andhra Pradesh / Telangana or any other examination recognized as equivalent thereto by the State Board of Technical Education and Training, Andhra Pradesh / Telangana.

(iv) For B.V.Sc. & A.H. / B.Sc. (Ag) / B.Sc. (Hort) / B.F.Sc. / B.Tech. (FS&T) courses:

Intermediate examination- candidate must have passed 12th class from a recognised board of intermediate education.

Subject requirement-The candidate from the respective course must have studied any of the 2 subjects from the mentioned ones:-

B.Sc.(Ag.)/ B.Sc.(Hort):Physical Sciences, Biological or Natural Sciences, Agriculture, Vocational Course in Agriculture

B.V.Sc. & A.H:Physical sciences, Biological or Natural Sciences, Vocational Courses in Veterinary Sciences

B.F.Sc:Physical Sciences, Biological or Natural Sciences, Vocational Courses in Fishery Sciences

B.Tech. (FS & T)/ B.Pharmacy & Pharma-D:Mathematics, Physical Science OrPhysical Sciences, Biological or Natural science.

B.Pharma & Pharm-D:Mathematics, Physical Science or Physical Science, Biological or Natural Science.

(v) For Pharm-D Course

Candidates should have passed or appeared for the final year of Intermediate Examination (10+2 pattern) with Physics, Chemistry and Biology as optional conducted by the Board of Intermediate Education, Andhra Pradesh / Telangana or any other examination recognized by the Board of Intermediate Education, Andhra Pradesh / Telangana as equivalent thereto or should have passed or appeared at the final year of the diploma examination in pharmacy course conducted by the Andhra Pradesh / Telangana State Board of Technical Education and Training or any other examination recognized as equivalent thereto by the Board of Intermediate Education, Andhra Pradesh / Telangana.

Candidate should obtain at least 45% marks (40% in case of candidate belongs to reserved category) in the subjects specified taken together in the qualifying examination.

(vi) For B.Tech. (Bio-Technology) Course

Candidates should have passed or appeared for the final year of the intermediate examination (10+2 pattern) with Biology, Physics and Chemistry as optionals, along with the bridge course examination in mathematics conducted by the Board of Intermediate Education, Govt. of Andhra Pradesh / Telangana shall be eligible

(vii) For B-Pharma Course

Candidates should have passed or appeared for the final year of the intermediate examination (10+2 pattern) with Biology, Physics and Chemistry as optional, conducted by the Board of Intermediate Education, Andhra Pradesh / Telangana as equivalent thereto.

Age Limit

In the case of Engineering, Pharmacy courses, candidates should have completed 16 years of age as on 31st December of the year of admission. There is no upper age limit.

In the case of B.Tech. (Dairy Technology), B.Tech. (Ag. Engineering), B.Tech. (FS & T) and B.Sc. (Agr. Engg), candidates should have completed 17 years of age as on 31st December of the year of admission and an upper age limit of 22 years for all the candidates and 25 years in respect of Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe candidates as on December 31 of the year of Admissions
