what are the basics(subjects) to know in industrial engineering before entering clg?
Btech in Industrial Engineering provide understanding of design, research & development section, manufacturing, operations and services. Industrial engineers work is to get the assigned job done in most efficient way i.e. to balance many factors like time, manpower required, available technology, action workers required to complete the job.
The prerequisites for joining Btech Industrial Engineering is not that much. They should have basic knowledge of Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry. They can also have some prior knowledge of IT world and manufacturing processes but this are not necessary as every thing is taught in the four years of engineering.

Hello Aspirant,
In concept, you don't "have" to know much. The engineering program will teach you everything you need going into it (other than mathematics up to calculus).
But the reality is different. The first year of engineering school is often notoriously work intensive. The depth and challenge of your courses will not be as hard as your 3rd year classes. However, the breadth and number of tests that you will need to take will be the highest of your engineering career. You will be taking lots of general courses including:
Calculus (multiple courses)
Chemistry
Physics (multiple courses)
Biology
Engineering Design
Differential Equations
Hope its help you.
All the best!!!!!
