Firstly, you don't have to be a very good artist. You don't have to be someone who makes amazing drawings and now there is even technology but you have to be somebody who is creative, curious, who observes things, who wants to make small changes, who is interested in people in some way. Someone who enjoys media, films and somebody who is willing to give the best because design is not an easy thing. It is a full fledged profession and you will have to immerse yourself completely in the design education to become a good designer.
