Hey,

Second shift branch is mostly opted by the students who are doing any regular or part time jobs along with the engineering so they can not attend the classes from 9 to 5 , while regular batch students will have to attend the classes of this timings . So,  if you are a study conscious student and college lover,  then you must join regular batch . If not,  then second shift branch.
