Central Seat Allocation Board will be conducting CSAB 2021 to provide admissions into the participating institutes (IIITs, NITs, and GFTIs) on the basis of JEE Main scores. As per the new eligibility criteria, candidates having qualified JEE Main score and passed 12th class, irrespective of any percentage (in class 12) will be considered for admission. CSAB 2021 will also be conducted separately for the three channels - CSAB NEUT( North-Eastern states and Union Territories), CSAB UT (supernumerary seats in the Union Territories), and CSAB SFTI (Self-financed technical institutes). The registration process for the different channels of CSAB 2021 will begin separately in online mode. In order to participate in the allotment process, candidates will have to complete the registration procedure.

Admission Procedure :-

• Registration - Candidates will have to go to the official website and use their JEE Main 2021 application form number and password for registration purposes.

• Filling & choices locking - Next, they will have to choose their choice of colleges/institutes and courses for admissions. The final selection has to be in the order of preference. All of the choices have to be checked and locked before the last date. Changes can’t be done after the choices are locked by the candidates.

• Seat allotment - Candidates will be able to check their seat allotment in online mode only. The seat allotment result will be published by the exam authorities through the official website. Allotment of seats will be done based on their merit, choices, and seat availability. Candidates will have to download their allotment letter in PDF format.

• Document verification - Finally, they will have to report to their allotted institute and verify their original documents. The allotted seats have to be confirmed by paying the required counselling fee.

CSAB round counselling called as special round counselling for the left seats in the NIT's, IIIT's , GFTI's through your JEE mains score.

If you haven't got seat in the JOSSA counselling or you are not satisfied with your seat and college then you can jump into the CSAB round without any extra registration. And if you want to take direct part in the CSAb round then you need to complete the registration at first (they will open the window for registration).

And yes there is chance that one can get some NIT in some Limited branches.
