Hello Aspirant,
Cut off in any exams whether its jee mains, advance or cet or any other exam it means the limit set. Above cut off means you are passed and have been selected, and getting marks below cutoff means you have not been selected or qualified in given exam.

And the cutoff of jee mains is 90-100 percentile in CRL( common rank list), 70-75 percentile for general, 60-70 percentile for the OBCs, 45-50 percentile for SC and 35-40 percentile for ST

Hello Akshat,

Cutoff marks in JEE Main means the minimum marks that a candidate must score for being eligible to appear for JEE Advanced.

JEE Main cutoff marks for all the categories (General, SC/ST, OBC, PwD, etc.) are declared by the National Testing Agency (NTA). Category-wise All India Ranks are announced along with cut off marks by the NTA.

The cutoff marks in JEE Main are calculated by considering certain factors like the total candidates appeared, The difficulty level of the exam, seat availability and more. JEE Main cutoff marks and ranks varies every year.
