Hello,

Kinetic energy is energy of mass in motion,in other words the energy an object possesses because of motion, if work is done on the object by applying net force, thereby transferring the energy, it speeds up resulting in increase of energy. Therefore, kinetic energy is property of an object in motion which is dependent both on the motion and mass. SI Unit of KE is Joules, examples are a bullet fired from a gun, a bicycle in motion, a baseball thrown by pitcher, asteroid falling towards earth has large KE etc.
