National Institute of Fashion Technology offers two type of bachelors courses:
b.des - bachelor in design (Fashion Design/ Leather Design/Accessory Design/Textile Design/Knitwear Design/Fashion Communication )- eligibility criteria is students must have completed 10+2 board exam from any recognized education board, for nift 2021, Candidates must be of 23 years of age as on October 1, 2020. However, candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes (SC)/Scheduled Tribe (ST)/Person With Disability (PHP) get a relaxation of 5 years.
b.ftech - bachelor of Fashion Technology (Apparel Production)- eligibility criteria is candidates must passed the Class 12 exam in the 10+2 pattern of examination with Chemistry, Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subject from any recognized education board. age limit must be 23 years by October 1, 2020. However Scheduled Castes (SC)/Scheduled Tribe (ST)/Person With Disability (PHP) will get an exemption of 5 years.

The eligibility criteria to be eligibility to get admission in undergraduate course- B.Des and B.F.tech is that a candidate must have passed 10+2 or its equivalent with Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry from a recognized board. Candidates appearing in 10+2 qualifying exam in the current year are also eligible to apply but they must pass in the qualifying exam and obtain the results and certificates on or before the cut off date.

A candidate who are willing to apply for nift must have passed the Class 12 exam in the 10+2 pattern of examination with Chemistry, Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subject from any recognized Central/ State Board of Secondary Examination, such as Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi, and Council for Indian School of Certificate Examination, New Delhi . Further you need at least 50% marks in 12th to become eligible for NIFT entrance exam.
