Dear candidate, DU admission will be merit-based for some of the UG programmes and through an entrance exam for others. DU Admission is done on the basis of 'Best of four' subject marks for merit-based programmes while marks scored in the entrance exam is considered for the rest.
Here's the admission process for DU-

• Online Registration
• Check the college and course cut-offs
• Select colleges and course
• Verification of documents at colleges
• Approval of admission by the college
• Online payment of admission fee.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR DU

• Candidates must have completed their class 12 examination from CBSE or any other recognized state board.

• Applicants to courses of minority institutions must also apply for DU UG admissions through the common portal.

• The eligibility criteria of Delhi University UG admission 2019 is common for all the affiliated colleges other than St. Stephen's and Jesus and Mary Colleges.

• University of Delhi admission 2019 has no prescribed minimum age criteria.

• Reserved category candidates must check the special eligibility before applying for Delhi University admission 2019.

For admission in Undergraduate course you will have to fill the application form which comes out probably around in the month of May or June and then the DU will release cut offs in various lists for all the courses. Though there are also few courses that have entrance exams like mass com.
You can get the admission in the course of your choice if you will get the marks same as the cutoff.

There are two types of admission to DU- entrance based and merit based
Delhi University Merit-Based UG Admission 2019

Admission to UG merit-based courses such as BA, B.Sc and B.Com commence in the month of May every year. Candidates are shortlisted for admission on the basis of marks obtained in the qualifying 10+2 examination. Interested students can apply through online mode to secure admission in non-entrance based courses offered in different affiliated colleges of University of Delhi.

To apply for UG courses, candidates should register online by logging onto admissions portal available atthe official DU website. Upon successful registration, students can choose the desired course and submit the required fees. Upon screening of the application, merit cum cutoff list will be released by the university and shortlisted students can report to the respective college with the marks sheet & other necessary enclosures.

Delhi University Entrance-based UG Admission 2019

Apart from merit-based courses, the university also offers several undergraduate (UG) programmes on the basis of marks obtained in the entrance examination, conducted by DU. Candidates seeking admission to such UG courses can apply through the common Web Portal for centralized registration and submit the required fees through available online payment modes
